Welcome to Swimm Artworks!

Throughout my life I’ve been inspired by images of color and light and began gaining an appreciation for art at a very early age. Exploring many well known Art Museums in the U.S. and Europe allowed me to gain insight into the painting methods of artists such as Van Gogh, Hopper, Gaugin, and the French impressionists.

Without any formal training, I was able to create my distinctive style by experimenting with various techniques and have worked in many painting mediums throughout my 40+ years as a professional.

My favorite subjects include coastal scenes, especially small boats and water reflections, as well as the colorful and historic towns and villages in Europe. Some favorite locations are Italy and the Caribbean, and my extensive travels have allowed me to gain limitless reference materials for my oil paintings.
